I think China has two destinations worth going in winter. They are Hainan and Harbin. The two resorts are totally different from each other. They are Hainan provience and Harbin city.

Hainan
Hainan provience,located in China’s southernmost part, is the only tropical island province in China, including Hainan Island and Paracel Islands, Zhongsha Islands and the Nansha Islands, reefs and waters, is China’s largest province in land area.Hainan Province has beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, which is one of China’s famous tropical resorts. Harbin
Harbin,in Heilongjiang Province, is the most Northerly major city in China.
